Rent Increases - General Information

Depending on where you live, there is most likely a lawful maximum amount that a landlord is able to raise your rent, either every six months or every year, depending on the ordinance or lack of one, that your place of residence falls under and also what your lease stipulates.

So far our website allows you to navigate to pages for rent increase guidelines for the following areas:

City of LA (LARSO)

Unincorporated LA County (LA County RSO)

Tenant Protection Act of 2019  -  TPA of 2019 (applies to some buildings in LA City as well as LA County that do not fall under the LA County RSO and that do not have local protections)

Call us if you need to know which Rent Stabilization Ordinance your building is under!
